Margosa (Azadirachtha indica)

The NEEM or Margosa twig is the natural brushing twig used by native Indians from ages. Since neem is the mother of all ayurvedic herbs, its use is highly beneficial.It is good for bad breath and tooth pain. Neem Oil is also useful bad breath and other teeth problems. For more effective results, brush your teeth with the Neem Twig twice a day.

Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum)

Powder made from dried leaves (dry the leaves under shade) of holy Basil can be used if you are having yellow teeth or gum bleeding. This is the most effective teeth whitening remedy occurring naturally.

Babul (Acacia arabica)


Babul like neem is also a wonderful plant. Use twig from Babul plant twice a day and feel a fresh and healthy breath throughout the day. This will also strengthen your gums.

Basic Ayurveda Teeth Remedies:

  • Mix mustard and salt. Lukewarm the mixture and rub it on your teeth. This helps in whitening the teeth and also strengthens the gums.
  • mix mustard oil with basil leaves, and brush your teeth daily with it. Feel the whitening and freshness after the use of this wonderful mixture.
  • In diet make sure to have something bitter, astringent and pungent. This will not allow the plaque to accumulate on teeth that leads to many teeth problem.
  • Don’t smoke!
